Thursday June 3 sees our first live double header since Decal &
T.Raumschmiere both played the club back in December. First up is the
eagerly awaited debut Irish appearance of one the hottest name in techno,
Vitalic. Since the release of his Poney EP on Gigolo three years ago Vitalic
has gained a reputation as one of best live acts around. To this day the
Poney EP [which is about the pain that ponies suffer at funfairs!] remains
the biggest selling record ever released on Gigolo. After the success of
this EP, Vitalic proved he is no one trick poney by releasing more killer
EPs on his own label Citizen Records, Kobayashi, GoodLife and Soma. He also
has collaborated with other Electric City French favourites such as Le
Hacker, Oxia and Al Ferox all too stunning effect. His live show has rocked
every major festival & club the world over and this promises to be one of
the highlights of a very busy year at Electric City.
Also on this unique bill is Americhord. Since she first played the club
alongside Stewart Walker last November she has gone on to release the most
excellent 'Enter' EP for D1 records and will have a releases on Firewire
and D1aspora coming shortly. She has also performed at Haywire in London and
Meeting House Square as part of DEAF. Her live set of deep electro & techno
is one of the finest there is and changes for every show so do not miss this
one.
Opening up proceedings will be Gigolo's No. 1 fan Stephen 'Hell' Rennicks.
This will be his second time to play the club and being a long-time fan of
the Gigolo label and similar sounding electro it will be the perfect
introduction to the evening's entertainment.
In between Americhord & Vitalic sets EC resident Herr Armstrong will be
bringing you on a tour of Germany with a selection of tracks born & bred in
Ze Motherland.
