new Mixer

Im looking to get a new mixer and was wondering what anyone has to recommend ive seen the Yamaha MG16/6FX and it looks ok..

any advise on what i should be looking for i will be greatfull.

Take a look at the new Mackie "Onyx" series. Excellent value - might be a bit beyond your price range, but worth it, and with that new firewire option, they'll grow with you as well.

/me lusts after an Onyx 1640...

But i gots 2 buy the firewire card aswell :(

They are very much out of the price range of the yammy.

In that range u'd probably only find the spirit folios, the Behringers ( :doh: ), etc...

yeah for my price range the only other mixers i can see are the behringers and ive heard very mixed views on them. has anyone used the yamaha mixers or know where i can find some reviews of them..
