It`s wonky alright, but there`s no groove. I`ve listened to it loads of times, and it just doesn`t make me wanna groove.
I think they are doing something they don`t really seem to understand.

Wonk click click - more of the same kinda stuff from Aexo, Fugo, Subhead, Hawkins/Forshaw and Cannibal Cooking Club ;) init - groove is all personal taste - some people say techno is souless anf we all know that is all nackers.

I git that feeling too - like they were trying to jump genres but never quite got there.

i think it has a real sweet mechanical groove to it. i think its cool that they are trying something new, personally i thought they did a good job of it, i wouldnt mind hearing what else this lable has to offer. on a big PA i can imagine its gonna sound real nice

totally, we all need to experiment. But I don`t think this experiment warrented a release.

The B1 sounds more like the two of those playing around with any wonky idea they had, but by no means would I have ever considered the groove done. It seems all a bit incomplete to me. in 1996 I would have thought this was the shit! But now it just seems like something released because with thier noteriety people will still buy it, despite the fact that any producer will tell you that exact same beat could be crafted in minutes.
No disrespect to their craft, but we all know that this wasnt a task or a feat for them to complete the rhythms and grooves on the ones in case and point.

Actually, they were going for more of a heavier "microhouse" approach as opposed to the wonky thing. Beyer says so himself. This record didn't do it for me but I think they could hammer down a good formula in the future. It's kinda weird, the swedes have 3 "microhouse" influenced records out this week. 17th, which is a pretty good record...its a good mix of swede and microhouse. The new ELP with Mull is real solid, but shows some strong microhouse influences, and lastly madeye.
