Hey up,

We have just upgraded to Cubase SX2 and are having a couple of problems:

1 - In a midi part how do we change the velocity of each seperate note in the key editor?

2 - If we want to use an audio sample we have just recorded in Acid it plays really quick. The tempo is set to 140 bpm (same as Cubase SX2) - what is causing it to play so quickly and how do we solve this problem.

Can anyone please help? If you could it'd be much appreciated.

Thanx.

right click in the bottom left corner of the editor window and select "add controler lane" i think ;)

on the 1-

If u have 2 notes on the same timming position, just select one and when u use the pensil it will only alter that note's velocity!

number 2 ---

is definately a sampling rate issue. if you right click the sample in Cubase, then select process i think, then resample. resample the audi o to 44100Hz (or 48000Hz depending on the sampling rate you have set in Cubase

that should sort it

good point z,
also if you use the drum edit window you can select a note on the left hand side and all the hits entered on that note will appear in the controler lane.

In project set up the sample rate is set to 44.100 Khz. The Record Format is 16bit, the record file type is set to Wav File (not broadcast Wav File) in preferences record broadcast wave none of the options are ticked. We've tried changing settings but with no success, the recording still plays too quickly in Acid.

Any help, as always, would be appreciated,

Cheers
