impressed, very impressed. Firstly i comend your efforts in using a prgramme that hs the weakest and dulest efects sectionnin the market, i have it and i just cant compress and master like you have on here, have you rewired into cubase or not??
anyways, beats sound ace, sounds like lightforce - join me at the begginiing, very push sounding when the first synth come in and the percussion changes, ace bit of arrangment there made, loverly strong b line too.
how have ya got the beats n perc so compressed in reason?
great use of the synths, which ones have ya used? presuming you have used to the malstrom?
****ing hell the synth line in the breakdown is immence, u gone on a audio engineerin course or sumthing? this track is way tight for reason, great sequencing all pasrt in perfect order. great lead, very tight.
i commend you ed mant, cant say theres much i could say thats wrong with this at all.
(ask emu though he will rip it to bits for ya) gwahahahahaha
 ;)

HI,
wicked. cheers mate. appreciate your comments!!
I've had the discussion regarding Reason with soooo may people now. It's actually jsut as good as Cubase and Logic IMHO. I have all threee here on my PC and use Reason through choice for various reasons. It's way easier to use. not a fan of the whole environment thing in Logic etc and just find the sequenzing harder. i spend about 12 hours writing the track then a week (on and off) EQing and mastering it. i got some 300 Jamo Gale force 35's for doinbg my mixdowns on, which does help i think.
I've only ever used Reason though in the 3 yrs i been producing. It was wank until 2.5 came out but the difference with that and 2 was unbelievable.
I don't use anything to do my mixdowns. Every last bit of my tunes is done in Reason, including the EQ work. As for the compression and i tend to use 2-5 efffects units on each sound. the compress master patch for the scream units is really good for tighening things up. I use a mixture of Malstroms and subtractors. Malstrom for the higher end trance sounding synths and then subtractor for the bassy bits. they are easier to get sounding "gggrrrr" if u know what i mean for when the break kicks back in. give s the track more power i find.
as for an engineering course........nope, i am completely self taught, both programme and in terms of mixing down and EQing. it's improoved a lot in the past 6 months if i'm honest, with tips from various people in the know. other than that, lots of practice. and i mean lots. i'm a touch obsessvie really. (coem home from work and then once ive eaten grub i'm on the PC till almost 12, normally 5 nights of the week. as they say practice makes perfect , and my tunes are by no means perfect so until thje are i shall keep doing it. (my mrs loves it as well, NOT!!! ) ;)
cheers for all the comments mate.
will be posting up another one soon as i did the track yesterday and now just have to mix it down and tweak.
:)
