View Full Version : Ableton Tempo Range Adjustment?

Does anyone know a way to adjust the range of the tempo in Live? If you map a knob or slider to the BPM it it ranges from 60-200bpm. Just a little tap and it jumps 5bpm. If I could change it so that it could only ranged 6-7 bpm over a 100mm slider I could incorporate it with my decks. (And taping in the tempo is not an option for real locks)

This seems obvious, is there a way to do it?

I would think U can do it in yer controller by limiting de range of values the pot/ knob sends over the all course of its movement!

on the ableton issue- in the sample window, can you set where the beat is manually????

I tried but the markers are linked. is there a way of unlinking these?

Yeah, I have a related question! I was trying to determine the range as well (but for many more knobs aside from just BPM). Does anyone know how to do that on Ableton, UC-33, Phatboy, Rm1x at all? Cheers.

So I've searched all over ableton.. there seems no way there to limit the range as I can see.. If anyone know a way to limit the controller value (from the controller side) that would be key. ... I have to figure this out. 2 tables and a laptop will be so perfect for my needs. I just need that turntable like pitch controll dammit!!!!

there only seems to be one lot of arrows/lines and when i move these arrows it just moves the rest of these arrows below

Double click the arrow and you can free it from the rest.

This still does nothing for my origional question and the point of this thread! Anyone know how to control a data/midi slider range in Live!!
