Hi,

We are still encountering problems with recording. We go device set up / VST multi track / expert. When we start a new project we have to set record placement offset to the required amount of samples to make the track start recording at the beginning of bar 1. When we come back to work on the project again the number we last put in for the record placement offset no longer makes the track start recording at the beginning of bar 1. We then have to find the new right number again. Why does this keep changing?

Also, when we are trying to find the right number of samples for the record placement offset, we fully zoom in and keep changing the number until the wav starts to record at the beginning. Say we find the number is 256 samples and this makes the track start a sample too late we then increase it by one sample and this brings it to the beginning. We then decrease it by one sample and increase it to double check to see it's the right number. However, this might make it change again so we then have to try and find the right number to make the track start at bar 1.

This worked fine with SX1 why is this happening to SX2? Doesn't make sense.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

what sx2 version are u using... current version is 2.2.31 if I'm not mistaken.
What soundcard?
256 should b the exact size of the audio buffer u are using... are u using the latest asio drivers?

Do u have PDC (plug in delay compensation turned off)...

m8 I have a TC Powercore firewire and that has majour latency, but since sx 2 with PDC I haven't had a prob at all....

so it sounds like there is something fishy with software or yer soundcard or settings!

Hey,

We are using SX 2 version 2.0.1.10 so it sounds like we are a little out of date.

We are using a Nuendo 96/52 soundcard.

256 is the size of the audio buffer we are using. We are not sure if we have the latest ASIO drivers - how do you check?

The plug in delay compensation is all ticked.

What do you reckon it could be?

Cheers,
