FRANTIC EUPHORIA CD3 MIXED BY CALLY & JUICE
First they get signed to Nukleuz, now they're releasing a CD alongside Anne Savage for Frantic Euphoria.
How can 2 completely talentless DJ's get so much media attention? Oh well I suppose it is Nukleuz and that, nothing special.
What happens to all the good hard working people then?

but as someone said earlier - people must like cheese then.......
can't see why they'd be on line-ups with Dana, technoboy, Trans Gens, Yoji, Tommy Pulse, Brennan and Heart, Clive King, Uberdruck & The Crow, Warmduscher, Blutonium Boy, Mark EG.....plus every big hard UK dj.......
or now get bookings at major Dutch (yup - home home hardstyle) events such as Impulz for the hardstyle arena;s to 60000 people the weekend before last........

I dont see the point in arguing over weather Juice And Cally are good or not cause at the end of the day theyve done very well for themselves. Also a lot of people think theyre CD is wank i personally think its a good CD when u take into consideration that they could not get clearance on most of the tunes, they have to go by Euphorias standards if u see them out its a totally different ball game especially when they play tunes like Ultrasonic - Jam 2 Jam and Dj Zany - Sky High but thats only my opinion.
whereas a few months ago i would gladly comment on forums like this about arguements over which dj is better etc i cant be ****ed anymore to be fair because at the end of the day its the same few who are arguing back and forth and its only one persons opinion! doesn't make a differnece, even if you reckon they are shit, what is posting on here going to achieve appart from to cause a heated debate ??
sorry these are just my thoughts, im happy to post positive things about tunes but not say things are ****ing shit etc anymore not worth it.

cmon mate, theres so much cack on it, that it makes little odds on wether they got 2 good tunes on it anyhoo?
Couldnt get clearance? Would u do a mix that u could only get clearance on second rate or even shite tunes. Its clearly aimed at a commercial market, so let them take shit from peeps like me who are musical snobs.

Yeah this is a forum, I wouldn't bring this up in everyday conversation.
Like Paul said, there are people like us that have something to say when they think someone are shit, just like when something is good.
At least I finished the original post with a question for people to follow on from rather than just slating them for the fun of it.
It's not an personal attack just a point of view from someone who loves what they do and has a lot to say about it.
@Louk: You miserable cunt. :lol:

totally man, they ave made it quite far, and fair play to them.
But i always see peeps who make it that far and play wat i class as cheese, that its just a total waste to really go for it and try and push the music, m-zone and mark eg can do it, but i see the cheese as an easy way or a safe bet.

Hardstyle in general gets a slating cause its stale as funk the now, not much else u can say to that? How many reasons can u give me to say otherwise?
Credit where credits due, but its not due here, i dont moaning about does any harm. Its being realistic... i used to buy shed loads of hardstyle, but im really struggling at the mo.
On the note of the euphoria cd, cmon man. Its pantyhosen, a pair of pantyhosen, from a 38 stone german granny with big hairy legs.

youre right, there is an obvious amount of producers out there who are 'below standard', but i still dont see the point in topics that are pages long about how sh!t one track, or two dj's are?!?!
how many posts on this forum are dedicated to cally and juice? i bet the amount outweighs the praise for other areas of hardstyle by a mile..
lots of negativity here, and seeing as its probably the biggest hardstyle forum in the UK, what hope do we have if a promoter comes on here to check out 'the buzz' and sees that the majority of views expressed are ones of 'how sh!te hardstyle is'.
its not just the bad producers that are killing the scene...

On the note of negativity, ur 100% spot on.
But i will say this, in my eyes it aint negativity, its critism for wat in my eyes is a piss poor attempt at puttin hardstyle out onto a cd comp market.
Negativity is rubbish, im guilty of it sometimes, but i can only see the cd in perticular as a pile of shite. Anyone with half a clue on hardstyle, and passion for it at all... would agree.
If things dont get said, things continue as they are.

Hands up, im being negative. I dont find anything positive in wat they do. There is too much anger and resentment in me towards mainly the cd, nothin positive gonna come out on this subject. Sorry guys.
Hence my last post on this subject, cant help it.... the cd genuinely pissed me off.
DJ Corbzy

Yeah, when I post about this kind of thing it isn't a personal attack on the DJ's as people, I post it because I care about the scene etc, I don't post it to be negative, so OK I used some negative comments during my slating but then doesn't everyone, it's the same as if you are positive about something, you use positive sayings to back up your claim.
At the end of the day, this is a discussion forum, and not every topic can be a positive one as yes, there are people out there which are doing things in a way that people like me and paul don't agree with, so we post about it, and to touch on the bringing up Cally & Juice again is because they consistenly offend against the morals of putting our sound to other people, IMO they've done it all wrong, if they had released the CD with quality releases in the hardstyle perspective, I wouldn't have a problem, and if they use the excuse that Frantic wouldn't accept some of the tunes then they were happy just to mix cheese for the purpose of doing the cd.
It's like saying Mark EG record us a techno mix for Frantic Euphoria, we won't clear any of your tracks so we want you to mix our techno, the latest eric morillo tracks....
IMO the CD wasn't recorded to put they're sound out to people it was recorded because they had the opportunity to grab exposure, which i sfair enough, but what comes with this is trainspotters like myself giving them a bad name on forum, because, well it's my right.
Anything anyone disagrees with there?

feckin well said!!!
I hate the way u pop on here every day and there's 10 posts just stating how bad a track is, or how bad a dj is..........
and it's been this way for months on here.........
I've said it before - if u don't like it a track - JUST IGNORE IT!!!
all genre's have umpteen bad releases.........most get ignored, but it seems like loadsa people's fav past time on here is to whine about the state of hardstyle.........every day....
"this track is shite and ruining the genre"
"this noise is overused"
"this dj's wank"
"this bassline is unorigianal"
I'm afraid this is it ladie's and gents - the start of hardstyle in this country was immense 2002 onwards, true, for a while now all releases haven't been as high quality.........if u don't like it - get into a new genre, cos loadsa people I know love whats going on now........
just cos its not as easy as it was........ or everyone here is trying too hard to look for the 'next big thing' taking it all faaaaaaaar to seriously, and forgetting to enjoy whats actually about now..........
In the place where all hardstylecomes from - it's larger than ever, so the people there dig whats going on, in might not suit us in a diff country........ but I don;'t think they really give a shit over there as its doing soooo well.
Maybe intead of bitching it's time to leave it alone and go try another genre......... cos can it really be satisfying listening to stuff u don't like all the time? - I wouldn't have thought so.........
and maybe just leave hardstyle to those that enjoy it.........
I'm not fussy on techno, can't see myself going on the techno forum and whining about tracks........ if u ain't liking hardstyle, then just leave it and go do something else......... not spoil it for those that do

Music is Music, as a DJ/Artist you have to respect the MUSIC.. We are not in competion, every one has there own views n goals in making it.. Just some a lucky enough to get that break quicker than others..
Now seeing a massive hip hop king from the zulu nation play out the UK/HOLEND hardstyle was out of this world.. There is no need to be elite to any style just respect what the that person doing and know that all music is the same (Come from same instruments only just arranged differn't) and comes from the heart..
cheers..
Very interesting :)
But I got some words to say.. That a another artist passed down (Africa Islam)
He is a one of biggest rap/hip hop artists, worked with ICE T on body count and numours bands... He plays techno, Hardstyle, Hardtrance..
His set was all Hardstyle. And he wares bling bling..

hmmm, that's all well and good, but bet your man dont play:
Tweetwoof - Kernkraft 400 (Schwarzende Remix)
LeBrisc - I’ve Got (The Power) (Thomas Trouble Hardstyle Remix)
DJ Destiny vs Organ Donors - What's Up (Organ Donors Hardstyle Instrumental)
Boogie Pimps - Somebody To Love (Salt Shaker Remix Cally & Juice Bootleg Mix)
Dee Mark - 7 Days & 1 Week (Tom-X Remix)
does he now!
and i bet if does you would be having words!
please understand that this CD is one of the first (if not the first) major UK commercially aimed CDs with hardstyle on they choose to represent the sound with a cheese fest!
CUNTS I SAY, CUNTS!
waste of an opertunity!

OK, maybe i'm being a bit to hard on the cheesters....
if that's what they wanna be known for, fair play to them - go play ya Frantic and belt our such "classics" as "What's Up" to ya sing-a-long beer boys...
i thought C & J placed themselves as credible artists pushing the boundries of hardstyle/hard trance/hard dance and underground music......dont think this release can be judged as pushing any bounderies or being even slightly credible to the real lovers of the scene and music.

Hang on now?? - I didn't see this CD as being labelled as hardstyle anywhere..................
and if u actually hear of the guys that mixed this they'll tell ya it never was meant to be a hardstyle CD representing whats in hardstyle at the moment..........
they were approached to to a bootleg CD...........
or off Juice himself.............
"You've also got to understand that it's called a "Bootleg" Mix so we could only play tunes that were cover versions or bootlegs. This means that some of the tunes are up to 2 years old"
Perhaps a few of you have missed the point of this CD????
and just aaaaaaaaaaaall to quick to start negative vibe's concerning the UK hardstyle scene again?

Infact, Islam played alot of cheese Hardtrance/Hardstyle, he kept it HARD as and differn't but.. His message is doesn't matter what it is... Love The Music.
As for commercial CD's we have heaps of that cheesy stuff on CD..
I feel its a good decision to do this, as it helps grow the scene.. We are not so much underground any more, its very simple these days to get into producing (It makes it more commercial n mainstream) Though helps grow the dance market.. You don't want it dyeing.
As much as you think the CD is cheesy (I haven't heard it) Think of it as way how it gets accrossed to the younger crowd who want to get in this industry and keep growing the industry as the years progress..
And its realy good how UK artists are supporting there country in todays HUGE events like IMPULZE ect...

ah, so i did miss a minor bit of information and it has only just clicked...der  (no really, it only just has!)
i just thought the other tracks were lame.
did wonder what Boogie Pimps was doing in there.....
i now feel very dumb & boy have a i made myself look stoopid!
but still, if i were me mixing the CD, i would have said no, cos the tracks suck imo. I still think C & J 's motivation behind the CD is self promotion, i wouldnt have thought Mark or Mick would have mixed such shocking material.

ahh and now the penny has just droped on the sample clearance stuff too.....
im going home.....
should stop the drugs aswell, i never used to be this thick!
OK, so i got wrong end of stick.......
but i never slated the UK hardstyle scene at any point! i was hoping to defend the fuker cos its so rubbish at the moment and the likes of Cally and Juice making this CD only added to my concern that hardstyle was/is going down hill - the hardstyle based tracks on the CD are not the best and ones we have slated in the past for being cheesey and not the kind of thing we want representing hardstyle....

and not in local underground shops. I know these guys and these two have a real love for the music, whats done is done theres no point in carryin on this useless discussion because it isnt gettin any of us anywhere.

bloody hell what a thread
well i havent heard the cd and i dont know much about hardstyle but what i will say is the guys are very brave to play their style of music in london at hard dance events.
its not everyones cup of tea but gives clubbers an idea of what else there is on offer.
i think if some of you hardstyle peeps have such a problem with cally & juice instead of slagging them off go and make the effort to have a chat with them and tell them your feelings on this subject.
they are nice guys and im sure they will listen to your opinions.

i have had some amazing times with cally and juice.
in fact they even saw me in my underpants last week
i will say this. cally and juice have been in the scene for a long, long time. they do their thing, they love what they do and they do contribute to the 'non-commercial' club scene in such a massive, massive way. i have so much damn respect for them. nukleuz have picked them up and i wish them all the success in the world. i'm not personally on their musical trip 100% but they do play alot of what I really like and they have the utmost respect for underground music and the rave and hard trance scene.
i respect both of them for all the support they've given me (chances to play in much of south wales) over the last god knows how many years. sure, they're not everyone's cup of tea, but were it not for them there would be no or very little hard trance/hardstyle in south wales.
i say stop the hating - if you think you can do it better then well, get up there and do it ;)

compltley agree there.
they are the nicest guys to talk to. they are really sound!!! like a few of you have said on here i dont like all there style but there r lots of tracks i do like.
they always play a variety of music. IMO they always adapt to the night. for example last friday was basically a hardstyle night at breathe. and i loved them they were BANGING!!! when technoboy played i loved them aswell AWSUM.
but b4 they had loads of hardhouse DJ's in evo, cant remember the names of the djs but they were hardhouse and i didnt really like them cos im not into hardhouse. but they always adapt to the style of the night. which IMO i think is really good.
well done i say!!

Mate - u went, searched out their forum and then the thread they posted about the CD they were asked to do and called them sellouts and cheesy as fcuk............and made more derogatary posts when one of em explained what the CD was about to u..................
alright 'having strong annorak feelings and being open of ur thoughts on the internet' or whatever is one thing...........
but if u feel strongly that you really have to air your points as u say you do, then don't be surprised if people feel strongly back when your not going about things in the soundest of ways........u think only u have the right to be a kent about things?
anyways.......as u say - best to leave this un alone now ;)
yer i thought that was out of order. yer everyone has their own opinions, but to go on their forum and say that on the thread which they r talking bout their cd was bad.

1) I have been a member on that forum for a while now.
2) Didn't search it out to just slate the CD
3) What's wrong with saying that you don't like the CD to the people themselves? I expect all artists & DJ'sa have to deal with people coming on they're own site and saying that they don't like something they do.
4) I apologised for the harshness involved in my initial threads.
