Uberdruck's Blue Pill - good or bad??

What does everyone think of this? Normally I have no problem splashing out cash on their releases, but I haven't bothered with this one. Reckon they're going for a slightly more commercial angle with the 51st State (?)sample. Speed it up a bit and it sounds like something off Extreme Euphoria...

Nah, they have not lost their touch. Its a quality tune! Its a sample from the Matrix by the way. I know people moan & say it sounds the same as past Uberdruck releases, but even if it does slightly, so what? the productions wicked & no one can moan about that! Big up Dirk & David.

Don't get me wrong, they're still premier league producers, but I reckon this tune isn't as strong as previous releases (no offence intended guys). The sample (now I know what it is, cheers Si!) has been done before, by Scott Mac I believe.... :roll:

personally i didnt like this release. cant fault the production, but imo it doesnt have the same affect as theirn other new stuff

ok, so guess I'm slightly outnumbered then! Which brings me to my next point - when you're playing out would you buy and include records in your set that you don't like just because the clubbers and other DJs expect you to play them? Personally, I only ever buy records I like, the majority of which have been a good choice and which I think would get the floor going. If there's a track out that's really hyped, I'll get it if I like it, but if not, it won't end up in my box! That way I don't feel so guilty about spending loads on records, and don't have a collection I'm tempted to sell... :study:

im with you on this one m8. ill never buy a tune i dont like, akthough sometimes if loads of others are biggin up a tune i mite listen to it a few more times as often its a tune that'll grow on ya. but yeh, **** buyin tunes you hate
