HI;

I have been adviced about inserting a delay in a channel.

Until today I used to send the sound via the 6 6 aux of my 8 bus and get the inserts just to insert the compressors.

What is the difference in terms of sound of I don´t know what If I insert a delay or reverb via the inserts? Am I losing something cool?

I don't want to demout my rack to try it

Any advice with it?

Thanks in advice

when U use an insert what u get in the channel fader is the effected sound... if yer delay has a dry/ wet setting then it's okie, if not u just get the delayed sounds and loose the original dry one... also by inserting, that delay will only work on that fader7 channel!

usually fx that are mixed with the original signal (such as reverb and delay) are put on the aux sends, and processes that replace the original signal (such as eq and compression) are put on the inserts. it sounds like you already have your board set up correctly to me. :)
