View Full Version : Opinionated or Arrogant

I just took a quick look at the the techno forum, and read through some of the posts that have been locked.. obviously the likes of Trance-Addict/Techno_Funk and corzby will have known about this.

The problem being Ryan Blackman, a highly opinionated guy.
Now dont get me wrong we all live in a world of free speech, i dont stop anyine from expressing there feelings for what they believe and what music they choose to listen (i sometimes cant understand but).

But this guy who has now been exiled was just being plain arrogant from the start to the finish on what i've read.. I dont know him, or techno music on a big scale, but the T**T come across the type of guy that loves himself and his views are always right. That to me is opinion but over opinion becomes arrogant and disrespectful, which is what he was.

THIS ACTUAL POST WAS NOT MEANT AS AN INSULT TO ANYONE, ON THIS BOARD OR THE TECHNO BOARD.. IT IS MEANT AS A THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED FOR HAVING A LAUGH AND GETTIN ON S**T AND NOT CAUSING UN - NEEDED TROUBLE FOR OURSELVES AND FOR MARK..

I HATE TO BRING THIS UP IT WAS BUGGIN ME SO BADLY AFTER WHAT I READ

KEEP IT UP FELLOW FORUMERS...

MAY THE KEYBOARD B WITH YOU

P.S
It would'nt actually surprise if the twit, was the one harrasing everyone as Markeg3000.. BE GONE

and it all started cause of me :D

No seriously I have to agree with you there, I started a topic called "Club Experiments" and I complimented Mark on the fine CD and this blokey started giving me shit because in my first post i said "when i saw this cd i thought ugh techno but now i like techno more" he took this the wrong way and kicked right off!

Thanks to Mark he came to my rescue and sorted the situation which resulted in him being banned from the forum!

Thats my bit.

I thought it was a joke when I first went in there, that everyone was just having a bit of fun but it started getting really nasty.

This is quite hilarious! the name 'ryan blackman' seems to come up everywhere... for being banned or causing some hassle.

on our forum at www.highfishrecordings.co.uk he was showing the same behaviour and we had to lock posts, ban him... etc etc ... its not nice! i dont like banning people!
He was actually slating Mark about something....
he got seriously defensive when people were tellin him to calm down...

Hence, my point of why i prefer this forum alot more. you can still express you opinions with you having a verbal assault thrown at you.
Lets keep it that way eh?..

Sinned666, you are engaging in idle speculation and expressing a personal opinion as though it were fact. This will only inflame an already volatile situation so it's probably best to stay out of it. There is probably more to this whole story than comes across in the few heated posts you read and as the guy is no longer on the board and can't defend himself, can we please steer clear of the name calling and the accusations. I know from personal experience that Ryan isn't any of the things you just accused him of being. Now fair enough, you can make your judgements based on a few posts you'd read, and maybe they do read like that, but personally I'd rather go on my judgement based on my real world experience of actually bothering to meet the guy in the flesh.
Also, all of you lay off the name calling as well. It ain't big and it ain't clever especially as he's not even here to defend himself.
For the record, I don't even know the whole story about why he had such a bee in his bonnett with Mark, and I really don't fcking care. All I do know is there's probably more to it than we saw. But that's between Ryan and Mark, two adults who can sort it out for themselves without our help or interference.

B.t.w Mark, reminder as promised : Did you remember to send that email ?

DJ RE:HAB

Agreed patrick, but may i stress that it is people like Mr Blackman whether in the flesh or not come across to ME, as being arrogant, he may not of wanted to be precieved that way, but in the posts that i did read, he did not make any amends to come across as any different.

Maybe he has difficulty expressing his opinion with the use of a keyboard, and as you say, is a much better person in the flesh..

I will take your word for that, and have noted what you have said.
It just annoyed me to think that he had the cheek to abuse Mark and fellow forumers. I also felt that the forums are particulary well opinionted and needed to stay like that. Not get nasty, as in the case of mr blackman, me you and everyone else just doesnt need it.

But alas all is forgotten...

If you've got the time, people, read this. It goes on a bit but there's some sound advice on how to behave on and how to treat others on forums. It's very relevant to the type of stuff that's been happening on here in the last couple of weeks.

http://www.egodeath.com/discuss.htm

Sinned666, cheers for the reply. I'm in real danger of sounding like "I'm just sticking up for a mate" so I dont' really want to say too much on this whole topic, but I just had to point out that the name-calling was a bit o.t.t and not productive in any way. Your general comments about behaviour are noted, and I agree with the principle, but we also have to acknowledge that Ryan was reacting to things that had been said. He didn't just come straight on here and go "Mark EG, you fcking cnt!" or anything like that. Unfortunately your post (probably unintentionally) came accross as if you were saying that, and that's what I reacted to.
Peace.

hahaha... thanx for the link p - will read this well.

and yes sinned - i'm VERY proud of this trance group and i think you're all totally amazingly well behaved. thanx to everyone on here. i love the techno group but you guys defo don't give me any trouble. thanx.

ps let me know if anyone does start being a tw*t!!

ok p i really do understand what you're saying about ryan. in your eyes he seems like a nice bloke that you've met via this board and he shown you lots of respect, you've met him now and you really really like him. great. i totally understand you sticking up for him.

in fact you e-mailed me about it, showing concern when i banned him and i really took notice of you. it really made me think whether what i was doing was right. BUT now I know i was right!!!!!!!!!! check this:

yaffle?????????????!!!!! mr baptist - this almost knocked me off my seat!!! the first time i'd ever posted anything on your site and it was defending myself about an issue that worried me. and this bloke called Yaffle comes on the site (for the first ever time too) calling me an ego maniac and throwing the insults. i thought what the ???? have I done to deserve this. anyway I shut up in the end and didn't continue the post.

and now you tell me it was ryan blackman!!!! boy, that guy must have something serious against me. he can't stand trance and he was on your 'trancey' site throwing insults at me? and that was way before i banned him! is he obsessed with me or something? and how did he know i was on your site? ewwwwww!!!!

i'm glad i did ban him. what total spin out.
