Anyone who knows a bit about analog synths, my mate found a sequential circuits pro one in a skip, it makes no sound but all the lights light up and the lfo rate changes when you turn knob, one broken key.
Anyone know an easy way to check the circuits or is it gonna be way over my head?

get the circuit diagram for it, then buy an amp meter so u can test various pins.

could be.. do you want to take the risk of it being ****ed and losing out on a few quid, or do i want to take the risk of spending a few and potentially losing out....? hmm, its up to you ;)

the circuit board design on those old sequential circuits keyboards was pretty nuts. Like they used mabtra patterns and stuff. crazy.

anyway
here is a link to the schematics
http://www.hylander.us/images/schematics/sequential/pro1-schematics.pdf

the operations manual
http://www.hylander.us/images/schematics/sequential/pro-one-operation-manual.pdf

there are several places online that sell the technical manual which will give you maintenance and part replacement instructions, plus there are many places you can get spare parts from

http://www.winecountrysequential.com/page6.html

these people supply survival kits and parts

I had a prophet 5 years ago
And the maintenance was challenging.

Good Luck!!

yeah, didnt the prophet have the circuits laid out like a giant shiva or somthing?
or is that just an old wives tale..?
Im sure its about as complex as they come, thats why i though it might make a nice little project for my uncle to do for his favourite nephew now he has retired.. ;)
