how to chain 2 different effects together on DJM-600?

hey guys


been trying to give this a go for the past 4 years now and i never got the chance to ask anyone about this. I have seen DJs like Christian Varela in his DJ set filter a 4 bar loop, and then somehow chain the filter effect to an echo effect SIMULTANEOUSLY. Obviously that didnt work with me when i was at home because i am under the assumption that you can only use ONE effect at a time in the DJM600. Is there a specific trick that he uses or maybe he is using some outboard effects that i dont know about?

Perhaps an external effex unit?

maybe he had another effects box because u cant do that on a djm600, only one effect at a time unfortunately... not that they are any good except the echo and delay
