IT'S FINALLY HERE!
http://www.religionuk.com/mp3/Tim_Hidgem_December_04_LowQ.mp3
Slightly Twisted thought it was about time that they asked Mr. Hidgem to do a harder edged mix CD to showcase the sound of his Religion late sets and the true sound of Slightly Twisted. This CD showcases the finer side of Hardtrance & Hardstyle and includes forthcoming tracks such as Ben Eye & Log:one: The Life we Lead (Uberdruck Records) [Track 3] and Hidgem & Montorsi: Love Me (GAS Europe) [Track 13].
Official CD Release date: 3rd December @ Slightly Twisted, Discoteca
Pre-releases on their way to the select few soon!
Enjoy!

That Love me track is wicked! But I really wish they had left out that stupid Scot Project sound...
It's such a phat track that it really doesn't need to borrow anything from Mr Project.

I totally agree Si I really do.
I guess thats the problem working with other people. You can tell Andrea has been heavily influenced by Scot Project (along with many other producers) in loads of his tunes but as you say I didn't think it needed it in this one at all.

Has it gone for press already Tim? :?:
If it hasn't, I would seriously think about removing those sounds. Otherwise I can see what we were talking about in the studio the other week being true.
Was saying to Ben & Log, it's such a phat tune before that Scot Project sound comes. I can see people buying the tune & listening to it and thinking "fu*king hell! what a wicked tune by Hidgem & Montorsi. Oh hang on, there's that sound ripped from a Scot Project tune"
I'd be worried that that's all people would remember the tune for.
Other than that, as I have said I think the tunes wicked! It's a GAS monster in all other aspects. I've always said tunes with vocals need to be ultra phat to rid themselves of any cheese vibe, and Love Me does just that!

Deffo a wicked track and in my honest opinion its one of the better one from Gas as of late but i would deffo try change the Scot P bit.

See, that's what I would be worried about if it was a tune I had written. People thinking it was someone else...

I appreciate all your feedback guys, this board is so important for this kind of contact.
Erm.......as for changing it...............yeah it can be done!!!!
Like I say I really do agree with you.
To honest I don't think people will remember Love Me just becuase it has a sample that sounds like Mr P. I mean its only in the tune for a short while. If it was up to Andrea it would have been in alot longer.
The thing is Andrea kind of see's it as a respect thing to Scot P rather than ripping off.
Obviously we see it differently than that.
Saying that I do like the sample its self, its the arrangment thats just to close for me. :dontevengothere:
I'll see wot I can do.
Thanx again guys!!
Tim
