Hard, damn hard bassline... ?

Hi all,

Any good tips on how to make my basslines hard as hell? Hard and punchy.. I do have a Focusrite Penta-compressor, and I do have a software compressor (Steinbergs) .. but damnit, I can't get i punchy enough!

Ideas?

I will keep reading the forum, maybe something shows up (I guess)

use novation bass station on cubase sx and twiddle around with the distortion effects theres a distortion called sulking rhytym it give you a really hard bass feel and try out fuzz bass.
