Remixing - How 2 go about!?

This all came bcause of the Advents re-creations remixes... some of us think most of the remixes r just a slight variation on the theme others think that's the way it should b...

i just remixed one of staffan e's tracks and it turned out wildly different... but imo thats how it should be...

i always felt remix should be about your approach to the idea that is behind a certain track. and how far it leads you its irelevant.
