Hi there!

Well, i guess lots of you know this little program, but those that don't yet,
might want to give it a try.

STOMPER HYPERION 5.0

STOMPER Hyperion is a Microsoft Windows (and MAC, too) software synthesis program for drum-like sounds. STOMPER Hyperion uses a very simple synthesis method, mixing pitch-shifting narrow-band noise sources or pure sine waves (zero bandwidth noise, really) together to one sound.
Still, it manages to make faithful reproductions of 909's, 808's, and Simmons drums - and even phatter sounds! :rambo:

Also, it does much more than just drumsounds, now. It's more of an analog synth-thingy as well, with several different waveforms, resonant filters, and other yummy things...

...the Stomper kick is fatter, deeper, and heavier than any 909 sample you'll find....

...The program comes with a large assortmen of sample sounds in the form of Stomper setting files (.STP and .STU), which you can listen to, modify, and use as a base for own experimentation. Not only deep phat kickdrums, but snaredrums, sound effects, and simulation of old analog vintage synth sounds are included

Looks cool, looking forward to having a play with it...

Anyone able to recommend any other good freeware that I can safely install on my work laptop and abuse at the inlaws at xmas?

stompers a classic program, never done anything i acutally wanted to use with it, but it's a right giggle.

Here's a mystery though, why when I run the installer does it say something about orange vocoder!!? Think it must be a local problem ...

i don't have the orange vocoder installed, so it might be because of that?
anyhow, i think i will give a thorough testing

ps: thanx for the replies... seems as if percussion-related stuff is the deal in this forum :rambo:

i wonder why?

ooo, fixed it, it's got a hell of a lot better, for some reason it occasionall triggers funny when you hit play and sounds better than it does the rest of the time .

anyway here goes the rest of my evening in the quest for the perfect kick.
