Think the Rave releases are well poor, not up to the standards of todays hard trance and hardstyle.

Top bloke and dj tho.

Well even though Paul, I feel exactly the same about the Rave releases, i think it's unecessary to just come along and say Mzone is sheeeite in a post without explaining yourself. Well hey, that is one of the rules of the forum you know ;)

? Think ur getttin posts mixed up. I said they were poor, didnt explain myself very well but gave 1 valid reason imo.

They are poorly made, ripping off old classics, lack any genuine charachter, have the standard boring "second trip" bassline, i dont necessarily want to go any further into it.

found a link with some cool footage recently if you havent seen it already from Trance Energy
http://trance-energy.id-t.com/te2005/

if you go into the site you can click on the different areans trance , hard etc and it shows you video footage of the djs in action and that.

The hard arena has kai tracid playing and a little interview and dumonde and others, is pretty cool.

When listening to the these Rave series on a small sound clip or at home the production is not as tight as other artists. But what you need to remember about the Rave series is that they are put together to be cained out on a large bangin sound system! This is when they come into their own and sound wicked and go down a treat with the crowd. Micks got all his many years experience of DJing out, this is what he puts into these tracks. He's knows all the elements which make a good track when playing out.

This taken from Germantrance.com from Russell i think..

Any truth to this, or just a cheap marketing trick, to get rid of the records.

I think its a dirty little comment, its like kinda saying it sounds shit on the comp, but if you buy it, and play it loud it will sound better...

"hmmmm"

Does'nt any tune have that effect...

Think he has a point about how production can be scrutinised (spelling) too much and sometimes take away from the power of a track just based on the vibe/feel/fun of the track, but in this case imo i would say i disagree. At least one is a bootleg, the others ave nothing in them that would really suggest they are any different or have better ideas than tracks that are made with cleaner production. Imo ofcourse.

Plus, they are one sided are they not? What that all about?

I aint heard much of his releases, but they have been poor..

the thing is, its obviously not an honest opinion for the record buyer....

Which is bad, as they sell alot of records to the U.K, and abroad..

I think they could be lying to us, and maybe to themselves on this one, and possibly the rest of the releases..
