I just thought i'd give this dude a special mention cuz he fark'n rocks so much. Really gettin into pretty much anything he touches. Interestingly though that a lot of his tunes hang around the 130bpm (and below) mark but still have that tecky sound. My friends call it tough house rather than techno. I'm not too sure on this but it sure does sound good though.

I was curious if anyone has seen him play out b4 and what was the night like?

hes been doing more straight up house and filtery house lately but he definitly used to **** shit up on the techno tip. as for djing it depends on the event. if he is booked for a house night or big club leaning towards commercial clubs he will play tuff filter house and chicago house.

if you book him for a dirty techno party like we have he is bound to rip it up on the nasty techno tip. he displays serious skills when he wants to as well (when hes not too drunk anyway)

for those curious about his whereabouts he has been based in Los Angeles for the past couple years

His techno stuff goes under the name 'A squared' yeah? or is that his record label or something?

'Tube' is such a great track. It reminds me of a scary city or something late at night if that makes sense.

'Late night binges' is also a mad track. everyone of me friends i play it too absolutely love it. Hope he makes it out to Melbourne one day :)

His best stuff was on Jasperstone / IHR / Strength in the late 90s. . . . I always play this stuff out & more & more people ask me what the trax are than anything else. I'm not into his lastest stuff but thats a personal opinion, i know the stuff he made with Rees Urban for Tresor sold quite well. All in all he's a very good producer.

I prefer his A Squared days myself.
I think his stuff had more integrity techno wise years ago, the last thing I heard that can stand up now was his one ep on pro jex since then I have not heard anything remotely up to date/par?
On the techno tip that is.
His contaminated stuff is still slept on till this day and Hiyashi Atari material phew!

love angel alanis.
Seen him play twice years ago. He played techno. I got some old records of his. He used to be a "buy on sight" producer for me. I remember that he was from Chicago, but I could be wrong. His techno was damn minimal and funky as hell!
