Terence Fixmer - LIVE [Citizen / Gigolo / Planet Rouge - France]

This Thursday sees us continue our love affair with ze French when we bear
witness to a live performance from Terence Fixmer - one of the premier
electro / EBM / techno heavyweights. One of his first records was the mega
'Electrostatic' which was [and still is] hammered by Dave Clarke, Sven Vath
& DJ Hell [all of whom he subsequently remixed - the only person we can
think of who has achieved this Holy Trinity!]. Following this he released
the Warm / Body Pressure & Armee Des Tenebres 12"s on Gigolo before devoting
time to compile [and record the title track of] the Aktion Mekanik
compilation on Music Man. Terence's live show has rocked hard all across
Europe and the world in the best events and clubs and festivals such as
Mayday, Nature One, Love Parade, Amnesia, Tresor, U60311, Fuse, Rex...the
list goes on.
Recently Terence has revisited his love of EBM by teaming up with Douglas
MacCarthy from Nitzer Ebb to release an album of tearing
industrial-influenced tracks. This has been released on his own Planet
Rouge label while just out this month is the absolute corker of a record -
'Danse avec les ombres' - on Vitalic's Citizen Records. Terence's live show
is known to rock the dancefloor like few others can do. It's always a
special occasion with live shows at Electric City so make sure to check out
Mr. Fixmer at the Metropolitan.
Support on the night will come from one of Ireland's best and most
passionate DJs - Sunil Sharpe. Sunil last played at the club as part of the
Planck Sharpener live project at the turn of the year, while this time will
be a DJ set on which his reputation has been built. Mr. Sharpe is sure to
inject energy and style into setting the musical style just right for
Terence. Starting off the night with some darker 80's / wave tracks will be
EC resident Simon Conway.
