How the hell do i get a website site to view correctly on other computer/resolutions?? how do i get background images to veiw correctly on any screen resolution?
c'mon you webmasters out there i know u know how its done, its allways baffled me :?:

Well, there are standards that we stick to. Most websites are designed with 800 x 600 as the standard res. But if you are wanting the page to stretch, then you need to use percentages on your table widths.

its possible to set the website to load slightly differently depending on the users resolution (depending how good your scripting is)

imo its more trouble than its worth as you end up duplicating images for different resolutions etc, but its an option non the less

if your having prblems with repeating bg images use a style sheet to lock it.

locking the bg image so it appears like a watermark is only compatable with IE4+ last time i checked (which admittedly was before the invention of moziller 5)
