Here`s a tune I`m submitting to a cetain label for an EP they want me to do.
I`ll sneak it up here for a while, cos I want some final opinions before it goes off.

It`s straight 4x4 stuff with big a Dirty B-Line.

sick bass dude. reminds me of a scary german record in my collection I dare not touch unless I've had all bran in sizable protions. Very nice work. top filtered synth. tribal percussion is ace. very proper techno.

very nice work..... i wouldnt be the biggest fan of those dark DnB style basslines as a central element, but i love that funky little loop...thats the type of loop u could listen to on its own for about 3 hours. (if im st*ned)

but nice work man everything gels well!!

maybe a bit more strength to the kick????????

dude, fecking nice Steve, as always man. This is the type of stuff that made me a fan of you from the beginning. Just as the name idicates..."DIRTY BASS". Love the little vocal stabs, the bassline is also very nice, and I love the oldskool samples of "The Rhythm that makes you move".....Full on dancefloor distruction!!!

That bassline is totally you!
Very cool.

But i was hoping you have more work on mix of your drums.
They are all very much centered in your stereo image.
A little panning will do the job.

Creation of the admosphere is cool!

well, I don`t generally bother with stereo for mono vinyl cuts

I`m beefing up the kick and the percs a bit and will repost though.

dirty bass comes with it again

nice phat dirty bassline (of course ;) ), wicked freaky synth, and percussion is nice as well

i dont really see a need to beef up that bassdrum, since it might take away from your bassline.............well, i guess if eq'd properly it can work

good job either way dude

I`ve remastered this again.
Cleaned it up and beefed up the kick and percussion.
Same Link

I don`t wanna say what label I`m sending it to, cos it`s part of a package they have asked me to submit, and they may not choose this particular tune.
If they decide to use this one, then I`ll put a thing in the promo section.

Really liking this man, something that i can listen to and has depth, instead of a single loop track :nono: I would love to hear the stereo version.

Good work fella

The last version posted has a broader stereo image.
The thing is, no clubs run soundsystems in stereo (I`ve installed a few), so using the stereo image too much, is a waste of time.
Unless it`s for an album release or something.

true true.
unless you have a studio ear.
somehow it'll influence the overall impact of a track.
don't know how to put it in words exactly.

To be honest, this is an old track that I have remastered and tweaked for 2005.
So I`ve lost the sequences for some of the patterns I made and only have the loops I made out of them, that I use in my live PA, that runs in mono.
So I wacked em back into the studio and remade this.
There`s not a lot I can do to get good stereo imaging with the percussion, even if I wanted to.

fat as.
the vocal seems a little obvious, maybe even detrimental to the mood of the track, but thats a minor point.....

The vocal is a little obvious yeah, I agree, it`s peak time stuff.
But I can`t go sending dark and serious experimental music to every label that asks me for tunes, it just doesn`t work like that.
One of my suicidal bits of spoken word wouldn`t go down well for something aimed at the more mainstream techno side of things.

Sometimes you have to fit to certain styles and moods.

Cheers, it`s been a part of my live PA for a while, and it seems to get the crowd jumpin, so I thought it was about time, I gave it to someone.

Really tight, good strong clear kick throughout.

Vocal jars a little, but probably best heard over a rig where it would benefit from the clarity.
