i get my stanton carts direct from the factory, as they manufacture them at diamond stylus in llandudno, north wales..... well cheap, especialyl if you get the VAT off em.

without a doubt the best needles out ther........

used by the best djs in the world- qbert ...and pretty much all of them turntablist that need the most rugged needles...

ive been using em for years and they kick arse out of ANY OTHER ive use from ortofone to stanton etc.......

defo great for playing low volume tunes too, and they dont wear yer record half as much as stantons.........i used stantons for a bit and every record used for jugglin or skratching ended up with a hiss from record wear ....NOT WITH SHURES.

right i've just ordered the pink ortofon scratch carts and needles, cause i'm sick of records jumping in clubs and ppl blaming me :lol:

are these shures better than this then for jumping????

shure ones are the best imo, ive seen a mate of mine (iq) use em all day for his battling with little or no jumping, i only got the trackmasters coz i got em cheap, im gonna invest in some shures as soon as ive got the spare cash

i finally purchased new needles yesterday... I chose ortofon concorde DJ E..

the elliptical spahir has a better frenquency response than the spherical, but its a bit more expansive.... ANyways the needle was very cheap (69 €) on www.decks.de

The concorde Electro seems to have a really high output level, but worse frequency response... The nightclub ones seem to be very good but too pricey for me.


For the past 7 years i used to have stanton 500 AL MKII and they are excellent, they never failed and the never jumped with the same spahir for 7 years !!! totally amazing but iagree i have a quite poor sound quality after all these years and needed to change them.

carl cox signature model (whatever that means....) for £75 including postage..got them today - they sound great (and look great as they match the colour of my 1200's - sad I know). I had concorde blues on before but the arm had snapped off on both (the decks have been gigged a lot) and couldn't bring myself to spend £50 on desparately needed new needles only to have snapped arms.......so they had to go.
