anyone else have this problem? constant iritation/throbbing? especially after using my headfones!

no, sounds like you could be listening at too loud volumes for too long.

unless of course your talking about actually wearing them, then yes, they can rub your ears and irritate you after a while

I got told that if I carried on listening to loud music I would go deaf. And that is the sum total of help and advice you can expect from the NHS if you have problems with your lugs.

Thanks to Mr C's wonderful night spot "The End" i now have a significant reduction in my high frequency hearing, painful sensitivity to loud noise and constant ringing in my ears.

Get earplugs if you go out, don't monitor too loud and as Evil G said - take breaks.

And don't thrash the volume - a clipping signal does more damage to your ears than a clean signal.

Look after dem ears peoples.

And honestly, really try not to do production with your headphones and take breaks like Evil G said.
You will thank yourself later.
