You already know this has my stamp of approval Ant. I'm going to give it a shot as well, but you've already done such a good job.

I dig this dude... but I'm not liking the string part.. its a bit too generic just changing between the two notes like that.

Other than that... nice use of the samples and vocally bits :)

Definetly bumps along

this is pretty damn good, the only gripe iv'e got with this is the strings, they could do with bringing out of the mix a bit more with some selective eq

this is a very nice track... i don't get why people are up on the strings. they fit wonderfully. promising bit.

I wanted it to have a peak hour feel without being too loopy

nice but sounding pretty distorted mate i have to say, couldnt turn it up so loud as it was crackling a hell of a lot.... the strings do sound a bit strange too, they do fit but the key sounds a bit off

tough tho :)

nice track. strings sound well, but i hate them after while  i'd lower the hi's a little bit and also bring some new mid clicky sound while the track is going.. i really like some breaks.. nice...

we are amongst friends dude, and Tony knows i wouldnt hit down anything he's done... i just happen to find his tracks a bit loud in the volume department, no beef!

yeah thats one of your best tracks so far actually i think tony. I like the strings, theyve got a nice cinematic favour. It might be nice to just once or twice get em to do somthing else though so its not quite so loopy.
I have to agree with matey that its sounding a little distorted to me too, seems like everything is pushed a little too hard so there is no breathing space.

slightly off topic, but how can a track be to loud? distortion, overcompression etc. is obviously undesirable, but surely if these aren't causing problems then the louder the better......

Thanks Jim
Cinematic was the point of the drone
yes it is a bit loopy
but most dj's will not play the whole song regardless
so i figured it would stand out in a set

nice low end, and interesting little breaks, the strings werk quite well i thought they move kind of free from the rest of the track, the overall sound is clear would be good to mix!!!

a nice track man! lovely beats n breaks!! usually im not mad into strings as the tend to make a track drag IMO, but i like them in this track. it would be a between tune for me, something to give a crowd a breather!

at around 4:20 (smoke up) the beat is nice, and that would be more my cup of tea, i like the drone in the background!! a de de de deh!!! a de de de deh! :eh:

good work fella!!! your mixdown sounds great, all sounds up front & representing!! i always like the groove you put down, wasn't so keen on the strings to start with but they work nicely.

I like this.
Not many complaints really, it`s got a lovely epic, big room, sundown vibe.
Because the strings are sampled they seem to lose something when they raise in pitch. Compression may sort that out.

It does lack overall polish and finish, and in general the sounds could be more effectively EQ`d (subtractively), but that`s a case of monitoring.
If you can get this run through some good monitors to do final mixdown I reckon it`s a winner.

I like it sam

I think it just needs a little easing off on the distortion and theres also an airyness to mix which could do with isolating and filtering back a tiny tiny bit. Im talking really high 14k- and upwards to 16k. Taking that out should make it sound a little bit less thin
