This week, Becka and the rest of the Gotham Grooves Family are off to Miami for the Winter Music Conference and will be handing the reins over to 2 very special guests. Returning once again on the decks will be DJ Deosil of NYC, and the Rev will be returning once more to preach his own groovy sound.

A lifelong disciple of music and performer since the age of 9, The Rev
made the decks his pulpit in 1999. In 2002 he held his first residency at Guernica and began working with international techno label Gotham Grooves, where he soon became editor of their newsletter Future Frequencies. The Rev has given sermons in a multitude of New York City warehouses, lofts, lounges, parks, rooftops and underneath its bridges, and even at the legendary Tronic Treatment Party. He is dedicated to preaching the gospel of funk in all its many forms. Be it funky techno, warm electro, pounding hard techno, bouncy minimal tweaked out techno, or even some deep disco house, anything is fair game. The Rev is currently taking his ministry further with original production and a Live PA.

Now residing in NYC after years of playing clubs and parties in Canada, Deosil’s energetic beat-blending skills have also rocked dance floors in countries like Sweden, Poland and of course the USA. Playing alongside artists like Deetron, Tobias Von Hofstein at such prestigious events like Tronic Treatment, Homegrown, and Gamer’s Night Groove, he has also done numerous Radio show appearances both FM and online and looks forward to many more years of laying down eclectic blends of danceable rhythms for techno fans everywhere. The
words he lives by? Technology should remain but an extension of our
souls, lest we become just an extension of our own technology.

Tune in, sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds from Gotham City…….
