hi all, being a n00b and all i thought i should whack something up here ;)

this be a 2005 remake of a track i did last year, hopefully i wanna get this one released, but i know its still in need of some maintenance lol

its ben remixed by ben bording from denmark, and is currently getting a makeover from sheffield based producer bass angel who makes proggy type stuff/chillout

most of the time over at mpfs i get compared to m.i.k.e. and yeah he's a big influence on my sound, and the guys regard this as kinda my 'signature' tune, anyways i hope you enjoy!!!

here it is, in full, in glorious 192k

hi there, i gave this a listen not long after my last post but forgot to come back and leave feedback, so im taking another listen to refresh my memory anyway

going from the mixdown on this mp3 id say theres a fair bit of work needed production wise.

the sequence is good but at the moment the track sounds unbalanced.

too much top end, not enough detail in the mids and distortion in the lower end. aswell as empty frequency spaces.

id go back to the sequencer and reset the mixdown if i were you, load up a smilar style m.i.k.e track and work from there taking a few mins out to compair each sections sonics from time to time.

the track itself reminds me of sunquests kinda style and hes been signed by m.i.k.e so your definetly on the right road.

what are you using to monitor with and also how are you going about your mixdowns?

i like the construction of the track.. breakdown of melody...

but it does sound flat...
almost like the lows are gone and the mids are cranked way up..

it doesn't sound very full.

with a rework of the mastering i'm sure this would be a dandy :)

yo, listend yesterday, love the track mate, really good ideas, plenty synths and melodies going, lots to listen to.
i agree with what everyone else says, abit muddy, could do with some more holes in the EQ,
open up the bass abit, your loosing the bass line in the mix,
try low passing everything that doesnt have bass in its natural freq, like high melody synths, or pads, even if theres no bass there it will eliminate any spil, just try and use eq to pull holes out of everything so the kick n bass line shine through it all.
maybe pan things aswell, spatial enhancers etc etc.
very good music mate, hope you go far with it.
