As part of my college course work I have to design a PA between 5 & 10k for a venue, Ive got to do a floor plan showing the location of the equipment & the cabling that is involved. The equipment I have to use is as follows

Speakers
Monitors
Headphones
Mixing Desk
Amplifiers (if seperate from the desk)
Cable
Microphones
Microphone Stands
DI Boxes
Stage Boxes
Outboard effects and processors
Housing for effects and amps

I understand this isnt the most stimulating thread, but if any one has any good links or general informaiton I would greatly appreciate it ;)

cheers MrBenn

LIMITERS!!!!!!

GET LIMITERS!!!!!!

this will save your PA from over excited dj's.
I'm always surprised at sound techs that tell me "watch your levels, because we don't have limiters" if they're stupid enough to have a pa without limiter then they deserve to have their shit blow.

I only have to design it on paper, but I guess adding stuff can only get me brownie points
