Yeah, I was tempted to throw the whole lot out of the window at one point! I had various issues with the laptop, which kept crashing halfway through mixes, then I kept being interrupted by people coming in the room trying to speak to me whilst I was recording. I was seriously thinking about hiring a studio for a few hours, but had a few days off work this week so I managed to get a lot done.

The only thing I still can't do is get the CD player to recognise the markers I have put in (on Soundforge 4.5). The instructions weren't particularly helpful but I managed to work out how to insert markers and save it as an .asf file. If you listen to the CD on a PC you can use one of the menus to skip to whichever track you like, but not on a CD player. Oh well.....

i had that problem, i think it is something to do with recording vinyl to cd it does not reconise the format so it will not save it!!

if it was cd to cd you could insert track selections

recording audio into a pc doesnt have anything to do with format, you could record a fart if you wanted...

all you have to do is set-up the line-in and levels... record on soundforge...save as a wav file and your done...

then when you've saved to .wav, it gives you the option to re-open in soundforge so that it can create .sfk, .sfap and .sfo files, which have to be in the same folder as the wav file, so that the file can be quickly and easily opened...

trackmarkings, mastering, processing can all be applied then on, saved again as a wav...and then burnt onto cd...finally, close the cd.

ideally, you wanna get soundforge 6.0, but 7.0 has just come out...so get that! ;)

I haven't come across any plugins for it, I guess the version I have is quite old. Recording the actual mix wasn't too difficult, it's just the rest of the program I found tricky to use. Corbzy, if you have any step by step instructions to putting in markers I will owe you several drinks! ;)

Thanks mate, glad you like it! I haven't got any info about Digital Blasphemy, if you could look out some contact details that would be great!

The track you're after is Mumbo Jumbo - Weird Strange Sick Twisted (Cosmosis remix) on Transient, it's a few years old now so may be tricky to find!
