Any tips?

Artist names, track names, etc.

Hmmm, I think looking to mythology and to text books is the best way to find a name I guess. Just depends on what sort of guise you're going for. As long as it fits both you and your style, the chances are endless.

i use books and the i net mate. actualy it was the i ching book that gave us the anxious name hehehe...

try google and then just search and look at 'words'. dont read the text as 'text'. read it as art. and read the words on the website objectively.

don't actually read the words. look at them.

get me??? ;)

The group I'm with used good ole dictionary.com. Found an old word of the day (tocsin) that was a cute double entendre when spoken since it's pronounced the same as "toxin" and most people into techno assume it's the latter. ;)

I relate all names to past experiences that conjure up pictures in my head.

Sounds lame but works for me :) .

Well i was releasing as Fernando but thats contracted to a label collective and I have decided its not me

A lot of artists seem to use their real name or invent a name which sounds like a band name.

I arent that keen on using my real name 'Daniel Furniss'

I was going to use 'The Divide' but have changed my mind

Will have a go at word mangling

My Wife teaches 3-5 year olds. She has studied alot of child psychology and has been involved with some ****ed up kids. This coupled with her playful nature leads to her coming up with words willy nilly that I find I can use for things.

If I'm ever struggling I ask her.
