here's a bit of negativity. think this is rubbish and really needs some creative life pumped into it. sounds like it was knocked up in 15 minutes on a saturday morning. yawn.

wouldnt mind so much if id uploaded it anywhere and people had heard it to judge it properly and constructivly, but as it happens its no where yet, waste of a post "mosaic" if you got so much spare time id roll the neighbours bin out that would be more constructive.

Only thing I can say is that it must be another "new Mark Humphries" track that was played to me last week - that we all laughed at for being so lame and unimaginative with the percussion and dull in the same old array for sounds used. soz.

(edit: obviously that was a typo and should say Mike)

Just found out which one it was... "Type UK EP Vol 4". And I stand by every word. couldn't have taken more than a few hours to do each track, maximum.

Na mikey actually takes a long time reworking his tracks, and getting the eq and stuff right. checking many times compression and bits like that, he's actually a very paticular producer, probably one of the most i know, but feel free to upload ya tracks too and we can check them out, if you and ya friends had a good chuckle at mastertraxx4 iam sure your pretty confident you could drum up some classics in no time, please send me the links if there anygood ill release them.....

that's it. If you ain't a chef, you can't say that something tastes bland and is so unimaginative its laughable.

Of course you can say that 100% without any convictions whatsoever, but with the words you chose to decribe the tracks and the lameness of the percussion and further more estimating each track took no more than two hours, i assumed you were producers familiar with production time & structure and so on, so iam interested to hear your fare, thats all.....

if ya not producers your comments are still valid and count in my book anyway, part of the game.......

okay. I ain't been polite and that's wrong of me. soz. you're right.

so thinking before I type...
the output could be improved through taking a risk. The structure and sounds are not original to Mike nor to the specific EP I heard. Whilst the production is fine the percussion programming is simplistic and not geatly varied between tracks or EPs. The range of frequencies used within and across different is limited and again doesn't take any risks or change the listener. I thought that was what music was all about?

peace.

Yes loop tools they probably are, yes the patterns probably and the range are not original. Most probably because his aim was not originality, but down to wanting to target his preference of a certain genre "who knows". His goal on this one or the past 2, 5, 10 ep's he's made was because hes on the loop tool techno still. i guess its a case of where you at in time...cant please um all, its the same when ya make real layered stuff with sounds that mess people up, then thats too washy for some, its horses for courses as they say
