Here's a tune I wrote last week. I reckon it still needs polished a bit and any tips would be much appreciated. There's one particular bit the high frequencies seem to be fighting each other, but any other tips to help me finish it off would be greatly appreciated.

Let us know what you think...

heh, even I made Adamantine named tune once.

I think distorsion is on purpuse and I like it, but other 95% of ppl wont.

And whats with the cheezy acid melody?

I was wondering if I'd maybe overdone the distortion. I heavily distorted the drums on one channel and pulled the fader way down on it, and then put the dry loop on another channel, and changed the levels till I got what I was looking for.

The cheesey acid melody was a gamble. I quite like that as well.

Oh well. Back to the drawing board tonight. Need to stock up at the carry out shop first.

Yeah I thought the name was dead clever at first ( :D ) but everyone seems to know what it means

Glad you like the distortion. I thought it was spot on, but I might cut back next time.

And the cheesey acid melody is eh.... oh well, no excuses!

The Greeks, as ever, had a word for it: 'adamantine' -- resilient, unyielding, fit to serve as a cutting edge.

Basically it means tough, hard, unyielding, rough, Adamantine was thought to be the hardest substance known, inpenetrable. Actually that's diamond, and adamantine can also be used with reference to diamond...

Having the hardness or luster of a diamond

:D

At least someone didn't know
