I was kinda involuntarily (my housemate likes D & B) listenin to Radio 1's digital station 1extra thro the sky box while cooking my tea last night and I heard this R & B-ish tune (to be honest I don't really know what genre it fitted into, also I mean R & B/rap stuff not proper Rhythm and Blues) and there was this blatant sample from Robert Hood, Nighttime World Vol II. (triple pack)

I couldn't believe it really. I ran into the lounge and said this is Robert Hood, my housemate was like "what? who?" I dug out the record, played it and he agreed it was exactly the same.

It's the first track (well 2nd) after the vocal intro about Logans Run and black folks. A very funky sort of hip-hoppy/breaky influenced track. I like it a lot but now I am a little annoyed that a tune played on 1extra has maybe used it.

However, it got me thinkin that Maybe Robert Hood used a sample himself that is easily accessible by others? I don't think so tho, it sounded like a properly arranged track?

What does anybody think?
