The tabloids are sayin that both Vierra and Pires are set to leave Arsenal, but yeah, it's probably bulls**t...

If Arse could find some quality replacements then it wouldn't be a great loss, lets face it, they're both sh*te anyway...

Vieira was immense in 00/01 and we ended up with nothing, since the Real Madrid speculation started he's practically been a shadow of his formerself, but we relied on him too much that season, and been the most successful team in the country since we stopped relying on him too much. But now we're probably starting to rely on Henry too much.

I remember Romania used to rely on Hagi too much and they seemed to play better as a team without him, so I dunno if Vieira's stopped playing so well so his team mates wouldn't expect him to bail them out all the time, or if it's the Real speculation or the captaincy... He hasn't been as aggressive since he got the captaincy, which is good in a way, but...

Our biggest win of last season came without Henry, which is slightly surprising since we often seem half the attacking force without him, but makes you wonder... I certainly don't think we should sell both of them, don't think Henry et al would be too pleased and they'd be very hard to replace, don't want either of them to go really...

Pires hasnt been the player of old for a while now, think he's 31 as well, he would be no great loss imo. Old patrick on the other hand would be a different matter.

No, maybe not, though according to an Italian paper the deal's done for Vieira... Thought you might be a Man U fan making out Vieira and Pires will never be better than Giggs and Keane!

why do you think that?

a lot of players want sucess in club football more than international football.

i know i would rather lift trophies with a club than country.

C'mon man, there have been hundreds of great players who have never lifted a World Cup...

Many of the best players from the Anfield glory years did not enjoy great International success...

I dont think they will, whilst i have no love for the arse you cant say wenger doesnt know what he is doing, i bet it wont affect them at all and they will find a good replacement for cheap who will go on to be as good as paddy.

they bought vieira for 3.5 million when he was virtually unknown and not even getting a game at milan, and he turned out to be one of the best midfielders in the world.

i bet ian wright is having words with his lad and telling him to go to the arse and not chelsea

if wright phillips went to chelski it wouldnt do him any favers at all he wouldnt get enuff games ...arsenal would be a good move for him like but i wouldnt liek to see him go there ..

but after pat goes to italy i hope arsenal slip and arse gets the sack , mr dean gets the sack and thayt dont finish in the top 4 that would make my season

Shut up fool, as if that's gonna happen! We should have beaten Chelsea at Highbury without Vieira, Edu or Gilberto so I'm sure we'll do ok. Look at the players Man U have signed and the way they've been winning less and less silverware, I think it's more likely to happen to them!
