Was just reading a previous post about a real time reversing plugin http://www.niallmoody.com/ndcplugs/downloads/Reversinator.zip and thought my god this is gonna come in useful for a PA. Now apart from your typical filters/eq and things you can just turn on an off at will, what other clever stuff is out there that you think might come in useful in a live senario?? This reversinator looks superb.

I was asking myself this question last month....
Supatrigga will let you do some fancy stutter type stuff if you can control it properly...

Then there are always cool filters you can drop on the whole mix to do some wacked out beat-sync'd shit with lfo shapes or sample & hold... etc
Can't think of any plugins offhand as I used my Alesis Philtre (http://www.novamusik.com/search.aspx?type=Model&keyword=1630)..

But a Moogerfooger MF105 w/ tap tempo would be phaaaaaaaaaat

That buffer one is certainly fun to mash around with, have to give it a proper kick about with tomorrow. One plugin I need to hunt down is a spectrum analyser just to avoid having to constantly rip out wav's and look at them in Wavelab as I can abuse Rewire to keep a track of Reason stuff on the fly.

sorry to interrupt again, but please try the tempo sync reverse plugin from niallmoddy.com preferably. it is far better, imho. try them both and you'll hear what i mean.

i'll post some more plugs aimed at live use laters.

i second the tempo sync reverser, totally rocks.

on a side point, i've read people slaggin ableton sets, but hell, imagine how much more time and money it'd cost to do these sorts o things with a mass of hardware.

That spectrum analyser is perfect, thank god for something that gives you a big vu metre to stare at rather than Ableton's tiny ones where you really haev little idea about hose close you are getting to hitting the peaks.

KLANGLABS

BackMan v1.3

http://klanglabs.siliconemusic.com/freebies/BackMan/BackMan.jpg

Reverses incoming audio signal in sync (it will follow host BPM). This plugin is specially useful on live gigs to make that "back vinyl" effect DJs usually does.
Specs:

-Very simple, just one slider.

Slider on the right means forward (>>), slider on the left means backwards (<<)

-NEW Compensation control added: Reverse playback compensation, fine tuning, useful to sync signals on certain situations.

reaktor!!!

hands down!

build what you need and with really low cpu usage.

i'm a sucker for that fast fx ens though, i just take out the sample player in it. frees up about 5% cpu when you do that.
