cant think of where this tape come from but know it was skelter.... M-zone started the set, coz mark was fashionlby late.. But halfway through M-zones set, the sanctuary are chantin "Mark eg Mark eg Mark eg.". And he was'nt even there yet, ha ha. Talkin about be e'd up.. Ribbz put everyone in there place though, "what yer chantin mark eg for he isnt even here yet" Always thought whether this does m-zones nut in. anywayz long story , but what event was that tape from..

yeah i heard a similar tape with mark and m-zone b2b. through the first half hour the crowd is chanting 'mark e-g' constantly and ribbz gets on the case shouting 'm-zone', gives up in the end though! think mick should try smashing some records on his head or pull out a spade - thats gotta be the way to please the crowd!

It was definitely mad hearing ppl chant my name when Mick was playing and it made me think alot about how Mick felt about it all. I love the fact that people do this chant when I play but I didn't like it when Mick was playing. It wasn't fair on him. I think in a way, this contributed to us finishing doing B2B sets (well for me anyway). I think we both had to get our own identity back. Hopefully that's the case now.

I think that tape was Helter Skelter Decadance from October 1999.



I was there on the night and Ribbzy was shouting at the crowd because nobody was cheering for M-Zone. Then everyone starting chanting M-Zone, which doesn't have the same ring as Mark EG Mark EG !!

Believe it or not but me and my mate started that 'M-Zone' chant at Decadance



we must have been screaming it for about 30 seconds, just us two, before others started to join in! my throat was wrecked for a week!



When Im on the mic I now usually get chants going for whatever DJ's on at the time, I reckon it lifts the crowd a bit!
