Which way will the sound go next

I could have posted this in Hardtrance aswell but i thought id post it in here, cuz ive been wondering which way things are going to go next, anyone got any ideas ? or track examples of new styles ?

I think its gonna get darker and harder but not faster, i think theres abit more experiments in hardstyle going on now imo, ive heard some weird stuff.

I find myself thinking more along the lines of TG Wildstyle Gen pt 2 - Klasic Ans sanders rmx... Hard and Dark, but still keepin the melody in the breakdown, i would like to hear more of this stuff being put out.

I had a listen to a few tracks on Germantrance.com, espeacially the masters of hadrstyle as i have'nt bought alot of vinyl lately, and the last two releases that i had from them The game and bow wow.. I fckin loved..

I noticed before that they have about 4 new releases out that are as hard as nails but keepin it nice and dark, with a techno vibe to them..

I think thats the type of sound it will be next... Harder/Darker/Techno, but with that hardstyle feel on the side, with some ketchup and salad!!

If this is the way will we have another name to put to a sound....... Could it still be classed as hardstyle.."mmmmmmmmmmmm"

yeah i agree, everything seems to be getting that little bit darker or harder on the uplifting side of things, theres less use of deep prog basslines or real light instruments, all the real uplifting stuff still seems to have a real hard kick and bass, i have a feeling it will speed up a bit in the future though, i think it needs it to be honest. only a bit though.

hardstyle seems to be getting harder and darker and faster all the time!! when i used to like it, i liked that 'the game' on IMH, and that was the sorta stuff that appealed to me, a few days ago i thought i would check up on the lable to see how it was doing, and the last 3 or 4 releases have been gabber as **** :shock: , real dirty hard techno like hardstyle. certainly didnt appeal to me!! :(

I think hardstyle will get more distorted, darker, harder and a tad faster, well i hope it does. Like Brain Ovulation style.
But i think that there will be a lot of producers trying to push hardstyle to a more hard housey sound which is not a good thing.. And i dont think it would take off in the underground scene anyways.
I would like the sound to get, like i said, more distorted, darker, harder but also with a nice uplifing feel. This is quit difficult i think, but lets see what happens..

the only producers who are gonna try and push hardstyle into hard house are the uk wannabes, nukleuz black for example......pure gash.

Theres an awful track Organ Donars have done on Nukleuz which they have labeled as a "Vocal Hardstyle mix" and guess what, it has some slut screeching her tits off over the top of it.

forget the UK stuff for now, they no idea (as usual...!) - UK clubers are soo cheesey they need to be re-educated, so give em some harder beats for now..(which is basicly that new Organ Doners track is, them beats r ok, just that stupid singing goin on)...
ITL is gonna rip it up again - they know they had fallen behind for a while against the Dutch stuff (first half of this year really has all been dutch for me) but they gonna come back with some wicked stuff soon as.
as for the Dutch, i'm becoming concernced with the use of the samples and general houseyness of stuff...but i'm finding new ways of playin with them types of tunes, so im kinda interested...

I'd like it to become more about the percussion and see some more original ideas for basslines and kicks. I don't want to see it go faster and the high screech stab with a off beat bass line is a tad too common... although when used well is effective.

I'd like to see much more DHHD stuff and tracks like Mindcontroller 2003!!! which is definitly one of the best hardstyle tracks around.

I feel that the hardstyle sound we know now will take on more melodic elements while still retaining the hard banging beats and minimal percussive elements. This is the sort of sound i have been experimenting with recently and it is working well. I cant help but feel hardstyle's quick rise in popularity will also lead to its quick fall, or lead to the premature evolution of the sound. Only time will tell i guess....

i actually take your view too. more melody. hardstyle is not going to become commercial i'm absolutely 100% sure, but i feel that it will spawn an underground/commercial mentality and ppl like us will find our own sound.

PS Corbz... maybe i've got you wrong but please remember this is a 'hardstyle' forum m8. If you don't like a certain track, you don't like it. but i'm trying to make this forum as +ve as possible. what's the point of saying you don't like a track when i can see you're pretty much not into the style anyway. it doesn't help us guys to take the music forward if you're telling us it's shit all the time ??????????

I think Hardstyle should lose the weird (and at times very Stupid) Samples/vocals. nothing annoys me more when you have a great hardstyle track which gets completely destroyed by some bad sample/vocal.

If hardstyle (male) and hard trance(female) got together and had a love child it would have heavy kicks and dirty bass and minimal percussion(from the father's side) and it would have its mothers riffs and some melodic elements, however it would not take on its father's screatching tendencies and reputation for repetative vocals and cheesy personality. It would also move a way from its mother's fluffy personality and dramatic breakdowns and build ups and wont be likely to adopt her use of pads.

My twisted way of explaining the sort of hybrid hardstyle/hard trance sound i would like to hear....who knows...maybe a threesome between Mr Hardstyle, Miss Hardtrance and her curious friend, miss tech will give us something fresh and inspiring to play in the next party season :P

That Gigi Montanini is WELL trancey, I really like it, apparently it's Beppe Barrelli though...

well thats what i heard straight from the horses mouth.... that barilli wrote the track with montanini, then they had a bit of a falling out, and then a couple of months later, suddenly the track appears with only gigi's name on it!! crazy. but yep its a quality bit of hardtrance.
