I have a fresh requisition form in front of me for work and about 500 quid to spend.

What do you think i should get?

please keep sugestions within these boundaries...

DJ tech (bear in mind we already have 1210s, PCV275, BOSS505, Final Scratch)

Useful things to help teach DJ.

Programs for the MAc

already have Cubase and Reason.

BPM calulator - for purely educational purposes - e.g. learning to gauge BPM?

or maybe a little pa system, i know the college i worked at had one, helped people learn to play at higher volumes and get used to club environments, was also used on road shows, commnuity events etc.

We got a PA already, but it's shit. Maybe something a bit better perhaps??

ableton is a better idea. and you can take care of BPM things there as well.

There's a video of James Zabielia doing his thing on an EFX-500 and a couple of techy CD players that could be worth a look...what he can do on those things is pretty inspiring, and a large step beyond just beatmixing, yet not as involved as ableton (which might be overcomplication for some).
