No I don't mean Homelands. No I don't mean Glastonbury. I'm talking totally rocking big-scale free parties that cost niche to get in and everyone plays for niche. The real deal where you're spoilt for chioce for good underground music - that's what I'm looking for.

Where are the best one's going to be this summer?

Any ideas anyone????!!!

We got one going around here at the end of August....

A ton of us local techno guys are gonna be playing for free up at some site of land way in the middle of nowhere...

Should be lots of fun. Mind you I have no clue--not even a ballpark guess--regarding how many people are going to come out to this.

I haven't a clue. I hope there are LOADS... but something tells me the location of this thing is gonna be the problem....

Hope not...

The "Diverse Frequencies" lot have been doing some cracking parties in the Edinburgh area this summer. The next one will be the same weekend as T In The Park if you can't guess from this flyer...

Info usually appears on this website : Diverse Frequencies (http://diverse_frequencies.tripod.com/)

They tend to do it in conjunction with a few other rigs so you get a good selection of sounds.

Here's a link to one of the dj's sets : Sekonz (http://www.dilatedftp.com/sekonz.mp3)

There's a few near York and Leeds Mark, I'll keep ya posted on em and we can scoot down. There multi rig events with dnb, techno etc so it could be fun. The police are dead sound and tell the organisers where to hold the parties.

Oh I can get a 5k rig, generator and van so if yer up fer mouchin along with us give us a shout . I'm piss bored me since stopping Cypher for the summer.

I've been to a couple of psy trance parties so far this year which've been great, and there's the big four day Liquid Connective party around August Bank Holiday weekend - it isn't free, but 25 quid is still **** all to hear some of the top acts in the world.

I don't actually make it to any of the techno ones oddly enough though!
