is doing my head in! I've just installed Audiorealism Bassline (I think I managed it) but was wondering how to open it - apparently it's supposed to ask for your licence number....

what sequencer are you hosting it in ?

sx it should install to your vst folder or give you the optin to locate it, i understand fruity often needs you to drag the folder into its own vst folder though if thats what your using.

Cubase SL3, which I've just installed as well...not particularly user friendly from what I've seen so far....aargh....

is it showing up in your instrument menu at all ?

if not then it will have installed to another folder, just locate were it has installed to on your pc then drag the .dll or preferibly the bassline folder if it has installed it in one, drag whichever into your steinberg/vst instruments folder.

thanks, I'll try that, although presumably if its a VST you can't open it by itself and therefore need to put it in the correct folder before opening it?

Also, are there any other good VSTs for creating an acid line?

bass line is pretty much the best plug for 303 style acid, very similar charectoristics to the tb.

there the muon tau aswell which is a little older, again good for acid and computer music magazine have a free 303 style vst as part of there plug in collection that was quite good for a freebie.
