anybody reccomend a good one for using with laptop


usb/firewire with at least 6 outs and 1/2 ins......maybe midi on it too.

yeah motu 828 every time.

wicked sound card. never ever crossed my mind to change it since i bought it years ago.

The 828mkII is a nice choice but if you're looking for something smaller and easily-portable (you mentioned it was for a laptop), I'd recommend the Presonus Firebox. I picked one up a couple months ago and it's been a great firewire interface.

i know someone who recently got a motu 828 ii, the number of ins and outs you get on that is awsome!!
