first full straight techno track ive done for a long time. only bout 2 or 3 hours work.

Bar None Pete, this is my favorite work of yours to date. That should really get people up and hopefully provoke thought as well. Good stuff man, not sure, but one of the edits seemed to be a bit off or something to me though.... perhaps I'm just koo koo :lol:

Nice. Tough and funky.
Bottom end on this is seriously lacking, but easily dealt with.
I have to agree, this is certainly the best thing I`ve heard you do.
It`s best at 2:16, really interesting groove and this could carry the tune all the way.
Yeah, really good this. Just needs some good production to fill out the dynamic range and make it less plastic and digital.

Nice one, I hae to agree with Dirty Bass the section starting at 2.16 is where the track peaks in funkyness, I would like to hear more of that groove. Also I think some of the changes/edits are a little bit drawn out, but maybe you wanted to create more of an evolving techno epic than a quick fix of funk I don't konw. Altoghether its a bloody good crack :dance:

quite liked this but found the edits a bit much, too many for me to settle down into it proper, but definately good stuff

do the loops in their elements too mate, seperate them into kick, bass, synth etc as well as the normal loops you do, would be a bit nicer to work with ;)

scott, the track is bout 6 or 7 loops, so your talkingb maybe 20 or 30 individual hits...

i'll make the loops avaiable, but i dont think i'll be gettin into single samples for this one.

i'll make sure i do for the next one.




btw, outside of the sequence & sounds, is the overall quality any better than usual ? i approached this in a new way & there seems to be a little more life in this or summat..

Sounds dope man...!! Not really my style... but I like what you did, Love those edits...!! Sounds really phat on my monitors... your bazz is always dope... often use your loops for basses ;) Think it gets a bit too noisey in places which fills it up a bit too much...

I like it alot but personally, I would chop off the 1st :54 seconds....

If it was me, I would let it start more full on and bring some of the tricks you used in your intro in the breakdown maybe.

Either way tho musically I like it.

Sounds wickid, loving the grooves on petes version and my only beef is the ride cymbals sounding a bit too disconnected/harsh + the bass. Fix those up and it will rock

Scotts is sounding phat, maybe rearrange some of the rhythm elements as it sounds a little bit cluttery but im not that certain. :clap:

Yeah thinking much like the others that the bottom end and possibly a few edits needs sorted on Petes then alls well. Liked the 'classic' sorta synth thing on the second mix but not really feelin' the third mix at all and theres problems with the panning and volume and various other bits I think it lacks omph/funk/groove etc....Still sterling stuff mind! Great efforts all round. :clap:

Pete... after listening to this in depth im well impressed with this its furkin mental realy digging the edit and the rythm changes are mucho cool,also the synths cool SNORT OUT THAT BOTTOM END and your laffin mate.

Scott..Your version has a great fat sound to it im impessed with the production man.That synth is super fly (reminds me of a Mark and Chrissi track ive got)
