By Man U's standards though it's a clear decline, they should be hungry, but clearly are powerless to do anything about it. The core of their team is getting too old and there's no-one in sight to replace them. Fergie's signings are increasingly hit and miss and the Glazer's coming along has sealed their fate I suspect.

Henry, Ljungberg and Gilberto are still in their 20's so won't need replacing any time soon, but we've got players like Reyes, Hleb, van Persie and Senderos to replace the others. Replacing Lehman won't be too hard either...
