Sounds about right for most of Liverpools midfield, good or Shite depending on their day, Garcia, Alonso, good players on there day but never consistent.
For 10 million you expect a consistent player who performs week in week out.

he is good though, and experienced. played for barca so will have got a lot of experience there.
it's like a lot of spanish/portugese players in the prem, a lot cant hack it.

Consistant knocking the ball sideways is a lot different than knocking consistent defence splitting passes which as a midfielder he should be doing more. I think he goes hiding in games but thats just my opinion.
He is a quality player and we´ll see this season if he can show class week in week out.
Alonso seems overrated to me, Benitez talks him up because he signed him and he wants to put a positive spin on his signings.

See benfica pulled the plug on Liverpool signing their winger. Good- waste of money anyway. Rafa was prepard to pay 12.3 million for him but no more that 8 million for Owen, don´t understand that one.

why spend £16 million when you sold him for £8 million and the player himself left the boat when he thought it was sinking? then owen make noises about wanting to come back (with tail between legs).
rafa made a very good stand and im impressed with it.
owen rues the day he left anfield, i dont care what he says.
owen is awesome, but the situation was crap.

Yes it isn´t good business selling for 8 million and buying for more but also whats the point of spending 12 million on shit foreigners.

if they had got him they would have been ripped off big time, he was worth no where near 12 mil, and he probably would have been a flop anyway.
