Attack on vocals?

I dont know how to explain this , but does anyone know how to do that attack on vocals? Ive heard it in so many tracks, you know, usually in the break where the vocal seems to fade in in a wierd way?

cut out the start of the vocal - reverse it - add reverb on it - record it with the reverb then reverse it and slot it back into the place again the the reverb tail is b4 the vox :)
