Simon Heartfield - PERMANENT WAY

Simon offered to remix some tracks off earlier Hackpen releases - the results were fantastic. Simon has been pushing the limits of music - ranging from playing bass for John Peel faves, the Psylons, to appearing as a regular DJ at techno clubs like Geusky, Vurt and Defcon 1.

Simon's carefully crafted music has already been included on several album releases, including a collaboration with Surefoot on the acclaimed "Rucksack" EP. His music has found its way into such diverse DJ's record boxes as Dietrich Schoeneman in the US, Joe Mull in Sweden and Carl Cox worldwide.

Simon's remix of the Bonemachine emotionally charged 'Hold Me' and the co-remix by the legendary Sigue Sigue Sputnik on 'Another Day Over' thrust Simon's talent into our psyche.

The latest work, Permanent Way, due for release in late September on Hackpen is masterful, inspirational and guided by some of Simon's favourite artists and composers from his musical past. It works on so many levels - each listening reveals another layer...

Cheers!
