i visited the germantrance forum last nite and read a post that said that edm are to re-release some of their old classics with a more modern twist, does ne1 know if this rumour is true??

perhaps the future of hardtrance lies in its roots..............

I'm not to into the older EDM sound, but it would be cool if the original artists re-released the tunes with a more up to date version if ya get me, then we could see how there production has improved etc and we would also get a load of old classics that we could drop in a set now and not have to pitch up shitloads! :D

Edm is hard trance. Ive got loads of originals and they have so much energy its unbelievable. I mixed aload of the stuff the other day for a few m8s and i was bouncing all over the place.

Would like to hear what they do with upto date remixes tho. Very interesting to hear this as the originals are some the most classic hard trance tunes ever made

Yes m8 i agree but none of them come quite that close to edm. Time unlimited and spaceflower were very good, but u listen to the the music being played around this time and you would always hear an edm record

Sorry but that classic hard trance sound of 94-early 98 was the best music ever written, so ahead of its time as well. I loved the old edms spaceflowers, united ravers but i agree with derb, bonzai and time unlimited were favourites.

On the subject of EDM, I just thought I'd add that I took my chances and mailed them a demo a few weeks back....now I wasnt really expecting any sort of response, let alone a deal of anykind but what I did get was a really kindly worded e-mail (in broken english!) thanking me for my time to send the music over, and a few pointers on where to improve...they said i was on the right road to a deal with them if i could nail some points like EQ etc.....
just thought it was really nice they take the time out to ackonowledge us lot rather than just getting a template rejection (or no response at all) like alot of other labels!!
