hey guys, i'm thinking of getting a laptop this week and was wondering what the best one to go for is. i have about a grand to spend and am looking for something i can comfortably run cuebase, films.. etc etc on. i've been on a few websites looking, but they all seem to recommend something different as the best and i'm going around in circles

Feel comfortable to go around in circles coz its a quagmire out there when it comes to laptops. They WILL do your head in and even if you buy the "so called" best it will have some issue with some hardware....

....most likely with the particular hardware you choose. Its like some bizarre sort of Murphy's law.

This is entirely open to debate but if I were you I'd by a middle of the road laptop that will pretty much do the job and then give it a fat ram upgrade and spend the rest on a SHIT HOT external souncards.
