what's the difference between VSTi & DX Plugins ?!

who's the best one to use?! what plugins do You use?!

any advices?!

DX will run on basically any Audio editor/ Sequencer package (for windows)...

Vst will run on Cubase or cubase compatible software...

When working with Steinberg products, VSTs r generally more processor efficent & less hungry than they're DX counterpart.
