not for me thanks - we were considering it after seeing the flyers for it on fri when we came down from london & coventry for the dave joy night, but have decided not to.
i didnt think the sound system was capable of delivering a hardstyle sound. cally & juice played 3/4 tracks i love (f**kin trip on xtc, their remix of blurred etc) but they sounded tinny and lacking in punch, and it didnt feel as if we were listening to hardstyle. certainly in the 2nd room it sounded a lot more like hard house as there was no evil hardstylie bass...
we looked everywhere and couldnt find a list of set times anywhere so we never knew who was playing when, and as for the venue itself, we all had the impression of being in an ikon, with harder music.
the crowd was townie/borderline pikey. i didnt speak to anyone who had an appreciation for hardstyle/hard trance, they were just there cuz it was loud music, somewhere to go. there was even one particularly classy girl receiving a ferocious f1ngering up against the bar 2 ft from us...
i hope this doesnt sound like im having a totally thoughtless b1tch - we travelled a long way for what should have been a wikkid night and we all had way more fun back at mine mixing afterwards. its just an honest review of my night, no offence intended.

it does sound like you are being well bitchy TBH, from your description there it makes it sound like it was a bad night, the club was rammed and the atmos was immense, the Bionic crowd is a mixture of people who travel from all over, the decor was rocking and the systems were thumping, we had lots of new faces there friday and everyone has commented on how they enjoyed it and they will be back. Fair enough if its not for you but dont paint a bad picture for other people as Friday was awesome! Set times are posted around the club.
the style in 2nd arena was a mixture of styles but not 1 played harhouse so i dont know where u got that from either.
you will find we have built our event up over 5 years to hwat it is today, 1 of the leading events for it style and the crowd know to trust Bionic and the DJs we book, most of the crowd know the djs but there are others who go because it is Bionic, they know the atmosphere is going to be wicked @ our events and the DJs we book rock.
fair play delirium mate ur a mad head - i didnt hear ANY hardhouse ATALL. i was in both rooms all night and thought it was ****ing brilliant. most of the people i know - know their music and love hardstyle. u was obv just talking to the wrong people. nd i never saw any pikies in there.lol thought it was ****ing wkd!!!

i stand by the fact that what i said was an honest opinion from 6 people who drove 3hrs to get there - im sorry if you are unable to accept that we didnt have a good time. i havent said anything bad without being able to explain why, so i dont think you can say that im just bitching.
i dont dispute that the club was full - what i said was the people i spoke to didnt have much of an appreciation for hardstyle, i got the impression they would have had just as good a night had judge jules been playing cheesy cr4p trance.
ur right, the decor was cool - i liked the black & white spikey balls and the yoda picture!

uv both misunderstood what i said about hard house - i didnt say they were playing it, i said i didnt think the sound system was capable of doing hardstyle justice. i know my music too, ive been mixing hard trance and hardstyle for 18 months - hardstyle needs a powerful sound system to deliver the filthy bassline, and without enough power, the sound comes over a bit tinny. this means that ur listening to fairly hard music at a higher speed than hard trance, but with a weak bassline - sounding more like hardhouse than hardstyle.

well your entitled to your opinion like but like we said we backed up what we said too, perhaps the place just isnt for you like you said.
Anyway enough of the bad vibes, no need to bang on about it , October 7th was awesome and the videos will be up online soon along with the pictures from the event, November event is only a few weeks away, am looking forward to Luna, Proteus and Mark's return.
Tyronster u'll have a top time dont worry mate ;)

Im absolutley astonished by some of the comments made here to be honest, especially about the "pikey" crowd and stuff...
Its all opinion I know, but i been involved in or a part of the scene for 11 years and that night at bionic last friday was as close 2 the old days as ya come!!! Ive been 2 events around the country, which I wont mention, {thers no need 4 bad vibes} which some people think are legendary, but I thort the crowds there were "pikey" and the atmosphere lackin 2 that of bionics on friday.
People will know im involved with bionic projects but this is no biased post, I really cant believe some of the stuff said!!! a lot of people are goin on about how it maybee the best night they have ever been 2, especially those who have only been goin out in the past few yers..its just sad that sum things may have spolied peoples enjoment...
But I eouldnt let it put ya off...
I read som where about some one sayin sumink like "i didnt speak to anyone who had an appreciation for hardstyle and hard trance, they were just there cuz it was loud music".........****in hell!!!
U must not of came across the hundreds of our lot that were there then,,
any wayz its all banter and opinion, the forums are 4 that, just thort id put my views in..
But enuff of the bad stuff, its all opininons but I hope u can cum 2 again ..

yup thats what forums are for! i didnt mean to spread bad vibes, but if i was a promotor of a major event, id want to hear from the people who didnt enjoy it as well as the many who did.
hope the november night kicks a55 big time!

i appreciate your comments and thats fair enough you are welcome to your opinions , sorry you didnt have a good night but a couple of the things you said seemed unfounded thats all like the crowd dont know their music and the 2nd room sounded like hard house, we vary the styles in the 2nd room and give the best up and coming and local djs a chance to showcase their talent.
Some of clubbers at the event may not know the DJ's but we have built up the event and broken in top new foreign talent enough for our crowd to trust what we are doing and to give these new DJs to them a chance. That is something special in our crowd. They know they are guarnteed a cracking night whatever dj is playing, the atmospheres are always top notch.
Anyway no hard feelings with your comments and perhaps we will see you in the future sometime if there is a lineup which really grips you.
